Hello fellow enthusiasts.
The problem I'm having is simply that one stated at the title, I have a computes with the specs in my profile and I got a MSI G series 750 Ti from a friend to test since it didn't boot in his pc, I switched with my gtx 660 and nothing happened. The cpu fan just kinda spinned for a little bit but nothing.
Is the card dead, or can I do something to get it up and running?
Thanks for the help in advance! :peace:

The gpu fans didn't move yeah, but can a dead graphics card stop a pc from booting?

Yes.

It can even damage your mobo PCIe socket if it is dead in the right way. I speak from experience. I doubt that's the case here, but if you suspect a card to be dead, be careful in the future.

So I can't do anything with it then, well that's lame...
My friend said he slightly touched the CPU fan and the pc shut down and that's when the card stopped working.

CPU fan?? or the fan on the Graphics Card ?????
Touching fan on CPU causing it to stop/slow down may cause Cpu to overheat and shut down pc

Does his Pc boot and work with onboard graphics or another card ?
If it was Graphics card fan then he may have cooked his chip

What happened was when he touched it, the pc shut down right after. And yes it is working with is old card and he didn't touch the card I don't think.

If the mobo detected CPU fan failure it will shut down the system as a fail safe.

Tell your mate to try a CMOS reset------worth a stab.
