PC does not start

Hi,
pressing the ON button of the PC one day while I was gone, the PC does not start
I believe that the pc I have not turned it off and it went into standby and after I tried to turn it back on the PSU and cooling fans are spinning and no error beeps are heard, after it tries to start it suddenly turns off and no one appears video signal on the screen.

turn it off completely - remove power cord, it should help in case it can't awake from standby
look for bios settings reset, maybe your ram OCed "too much"
try with 1 stick of ram, each of them, maybe one is dead

Open your manual, read how to "Clear CMOS". After doing that try again.

I did the cmos, removing the buffer battery and putting it back in, then I removed the power cable and turned off the power supply with the off button. if I remove the ram banks the pc emits beeps. while if I put them back it makes no sound. when I turn it on, the same problem occurs again .... could it be that the cpu has burned out?

More likely to be faulty Ram.

try with 1 stick of ram, each of them, maybe one is dead

all disconnected except CPU and MB (from PSU)

1.
buffer battery removed, RAM inserted; by pressing the ON button of the PSU, it starts automatically and the "CPU" LED on the MB lights up (the CPU fan runs for a few seconds); after a few seconds it turns off; same thing if I press the ON button of the case

2.
as before, RAM removed; 2 beeps are heard, the CPU fan turns, the "CPU, RAM" LED on the MB lights up; now it does not stay off but turns on automatically after a few seconds and goes back to off and so on (until you turn off the power)

3.
1 single bank of RAM inserted, "CPU" LED on the MB; turns on and off. (no buffer battery, all disconnected); also swapping the 2nd - 4th RAM positions)

4.
as before (no buffer battery, all disconnected) position 1-3 RAM swapped

5.
all tests with the buffer battery inserted, same problems

did you assemble this PC?

The easy stuff (my opinion) in order
Test the PSU but prefer you use a known good PSU and see if it boots.
Open the side and feel around, if anything is hot on the board, replace it or RMA if still in warranty
And take a bright flashlight and inspect the MB mounting see if a screw is shorting or anything is burnt on the board
If all that is fine pull the check the CPU pins for bent broken and re-paste.

solved, it is the power switch connector that caused problems or the shorted button; now i turn on the pc making contact the 2 pins with a pen.

How did you figure that out? You can find a replacement of sorts at a used computer store or if know anyone that has a old unused case you can salvaged the switch and wiring.

I understood this by going by exclusion, since ram cpu psu and mb are brand new and using the brain, I used a tester to check the cables of the power sw and they were burned, so now I have to find a power sw connector and a new button . thanks for the advice, I'll see if I can find something used or I build it myself using cables, instead of the button you can use a switch, I ask because the switch remains in the same position and does not come back like the button . maybe this could cause problems.
