I think my GPU is overheating this week.

My idle is 40c without doing anything. GPU clock is 300 mhz.

So I suddenly came up with the idea to run Furmark since it will stress out the GPU and see the temperatures. The test was 15 minutes and it did not restart during the test, 78c is the max temp and average was around 70c.

Compared when I ran Unigine Tropics - I got 99c on this test

If you think the card is overheating then use a custom fan curve - and you need to change fans of your case. More intake.

I applied a new thermal paste, set my fan to 50%.

I finished Unigine Heaven for the first time.

Valley was completed for the first time as well.

Tropics completed as well.

Sanctuary too.

And it started all with Furmark for 15 minutes.

Then your Gpu is overheating ... 95 is a No No

You should of picked up overheating way before - you can set ON SCREEN DISPLAY in msi afterburner - so can see temps during benchmark top of the screen
Make sure If using software like MSI AFTERBURNER that the fan speed is on Auto !!!!!
Have had issue with old version starting up and auto fun switched off thus fan stays @ 40% speed and gpu overheats - Solution update MSI Afterburner
**Clean Dust out Gpu + clean and repaste
**Increase case fan speeds
**Add a more aggressive fan curve
** benchamark scores don't give us any info

Funny we didn't think of this earlier - seems we ruled gpu heat out to soon. Such a simple problem...

Problem started again since last week. It is occasional though but still it restarts. I applied again new thermal paste to my GPU and CPU.

Are the 12v voltages normal?

Xigmatek Assassin with 4 Cooler master fan. Please note the things above my CPU are gone months ago. This is an old pic. CPU Cooler Hyper 212 Evo.

IS this still how your system looks, with that decoration on top along with the headphones? Pushed all the back against the wall?

With the top fans blowing in, thats just icing on the cake. Wow, just wow. Its no wonder you are having heat issues.

Take the damn side off the case and re-run tests you seem to have to run.

Also, when re-applying new paste, allow for some to set and idle heat burn in time of 18-48 hours. Dont just start running heat tests 5 minutes after putting everything back together.

Hi Guys,

Just to update this thread. Two weeks ago I bought a new power supply - Seasonic S12ii 620w for Php 3250 (65 usd) which is lower in price compared to newegg hahahaha. And we haven't had any issues with restarting anymore.

I am really happy with the purchase since the PSU is so quiet and well built. It took months to save up money and this is my first Seasonic PSU (before was FSP and Corsair) and will be using this brand for life. Hehehehe.
