PC turning off randomly to pure black

This has been going on for a while my computer usually while playing games would just turn off to black. Lights would stay on but my screen is just black.
I've tried resetting bios. Adding 2 extra fans when i thought it could be overheating. Bought a new PSU cord thinking the one i had was faulty, and even replaced thermal paste on both my cpu and gpu.
My specs are:
CPU: AMD FX-8350
GPU: AMD RX 570
RAM: 16GB XPG ADATA
PSU: Corsair CS750M
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3

If the lights and fans remain on, then its a hard crash
(if they went out, it'd be the PSU's protection hardware)

Run a 3D stress test on the GPU and see if it happens there, then run a CPU stress test (cinebench R23 has a 10 minute test)

If it crashes on one and not the other, it'll help clue us in to whats faulty

I'd try running Prime95 for CPU stress test. Best thing I used when I was overclocing my i7.

I just ran the GPU test and nothing happened after 42 minutes im going to try the cpu one but I think the problem lies with my ram or power supply

If the CPU and GPU both pass independently, but then it happens when you run both at the same time then yes, that would indicate PSU

Is furmark a good one for gpu?
In this case yes. Furmark uses a TON of power in the GPU, to an absurd level nothing else does - its not something we recommend normally, but it has a place in diagnosing faults like this.

Furmark and a CPU stress test together will max out your PSU, far beyond what normal gaming would - so its a good way to test it

I just ran both at the same time and both individually nothing happened at all. I think it might be ram then. My friends are telling me the ram i have is random.

RAM issues show up in CPU tests, usually

What CPU test did you run and how long for?

cinebench + furmark should be stressing BOTH of them really hard, as well as the PSU.

That means the problem lies elsewhere - next guess is a long-term heat issue that you have to investigate in person... PSU, mobo, VRMs etc and see whats heating up as the system is running.

I use an IR gun to do this, sticking your finger on things without temp sensors also works

Turn on both GPU and CPU, and let it sit. Use prime95 with the heavy ram blend and furmark.

Run cinebench and furmark at the same time. This will simulate a maxed out load situation so if the psu is weak it will fail here.

how long do i leave this on?
30 to 60 minutes. Furmark is known to be risky to GPUs a long time ago so if you feel at any point that you do not want to run it, we can think of other options for stressing.

If your psu is bad, it won't last very long seconds before shutdown... If you have to run it pass a few minutes I'd assume your cooling would be overloaded and you'd run into problems with that before the psu.

You want the CPU test and the GPU test at the same time

if it takes time to crash, that means heat is the problem - somewhere

I’m running both prime95 and furmark right now I’ll turn it off in about an hour

Basically, if your system can handle furmark + prime95 for an hour nothing is wrong with it - and your issue has to be something external. A loose cable, for example.

Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 - which revision board do you have? Have you updated the bios? Have you set everything to stock in the bios and played the game?

Is it always a particular game or any game you play?

I had the rev 4.0 board, I gave it to my son now. Gigabyte didn't show enough love to the bios for this awesome board.

If rev 4.0, update to this hacked bios and it is rock solid stable.

With this bios, you will get NVMe drive boot options and it makes the board even more lively with that 8350.

I updated for the S3 sleep and CPU fan issue, but came with other goodies as well.

If you wanna stress test your psu, I can suggest to use "occt". Liked old design, new design at least for me looks like crap, crap :(. Usually you for hours. Try to launch power test and leave it on for 1 hour.

Run Testmem5 that's used for checking stability on the RAM, test a few configs, if there are issues it will report errors.
Maybe you're running some XMP profile that motherboard doesn't like? You didn't post specific info on the RAM.
