Hello to everyone. :)

There is a problem with gpu-z 1.16.0 when detecting the pci-ex generation of my motherboard (Gigabyte Z68P-DS3).

When I launch the small render to obtain the maximum specs about the pci-ex gen the render starts and in the field "bus interface" it is shown "pci-ex X16 2.0".

My motherboard supports officially the generation 3.

My current gpu is a Kfa2 1060 OC 6GB.

I left the rendering active for 5 minutes but the situation didn't change. By the way, is it safe leaving the rendering on for much time? Or could it be dangerous for the gpu?

Thank you in advance to everyone. ;-)

Welcome to TPU. And just to make it easier, please fill your system specification : https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/account/specs

What processor do you use? Your board might support PCI-E 3.0 but it will still need an Intel 22 nm processors (Ivy Bridge i5 or i7) to use PCI-E 3.0 lane. If you're still using the good old Sandy Bridge then that's the cause of your issue.

System specifications inserted! ;-)

I understand, effectively I have a Core I5 2500K, so this is the real cause of the issue.

But I wondered also about the rendering test ... could it be a problem for the gpu running it for several minutes or is it totally safe?
