I was hoping that it will be lower. Compared to i7 920 they have same performance and by the logic that AMD should sell their CPU at price that will give better performance price ratio that the price would be little lower. Given in consideration that at launch it should be priced little higher in 2-3 months after launch it would be very interesting purchase.
And what would be the lowest clocked PII and rough price ?

put away that gun.
My bad LGA 775 quad @ 2.6 GHz equals the performace of PII 940. That furder confirms my theory for the price of the CPU that should be lower espesaly now that you point out to my attention that the comparation was to last gen quad.
