PIIx3 720 or AIIx4 630?

Which one should I get for my new build? 'Phenom II x3 720 BE' or the 'Athlon II x4 630'?

Which one is better at stock? I don't plan to OC until I feel my PC slowing down.

Yep, same here, the extra core won't make much of a difference but the cache will. X3 720 is better, and there is the possibility of unlocking a 4th core. And because its a Black Edition it will be very easy to OC when you decide to do so

If you are going to multitask or use programs that take advantage of multi-cores then I'd go for the Athlon II x4 630. If your just gaming and not much else, and want the OC to be as easy as pie when you do start ocing then go for the Phenom II 720 b.e.
