I generally dislike naive protagonists and Grace F protagonist was one, a hardcore naive kid. That's why I loved Vesperia.

I got put off Abyss really just by the fact the main character is a teenager at the start, couldn't put up with his bratty attitude and gave up. But a lot of people loved abyss and rate it one of the best..may have to give it a chance again,i played it on 3DS though and not the PS2 version as i got into the franchise when Vesperia came out. May get ps2 emulator to play Abyss.

I am not a big fan of Abyss. Yeah, disliked the kid. But he does grow up and does man up in the end. And Tear is an attractive character.
Character growth was acceptable.

Grace F, however ..., the kid never mans up.

Played Tales of Berseria for about 2 hours now. So far, it's okay. The game has never been about graphics anyway.

The hatred is there. I will see how the game executes it.

P.S. For the love of God, finally dual audio. Sick of mediocre English actors.

Never been bothered with graphics for the game,it runs at 60FPS on PS4 which is a step forward in my opinion. I may give Abyss a chance still but will see i have too many games on my list to go through and the starting point of Berseria is a bit slow but the pick up is really good.

I've just bought myself a replacement GTX 1080 which can do hundreds of frames per second at max details at 1080p. However, I'm still getting excited by Boost Mode on my trusty Pro to help it reach the heady heights of 60fps on console grade graphics. Gotta love the irony! :)

Side note I bought a 1080ti too....So excited. First Nvidia card ever lol.

I just finished the proving and what comes after in Horizon Zero Dawn. Game keeps getting better and more fun with new enemies and unlocks and evolution of story. First console game that has kept me playing in a while.

About 8 hours into the game.

Tales of Berseria is certainly better than most Tales I've played. Just characters alone, it's certainly better than Abyss for sure. They aren't hypocrites. Well, some of them are daemons after all.

I can't say too much about the game yet. But, so far, the game seems very liner. (No free roaming) I see some dungeons but none I can really access at this point.

Good thing about Berseria is if you played Zestiria before Berseria you would be even more interested in the story to see how the whole malevolence is formed, see what happens to Eizen and so on. The anime for Zestiria is quite good to watch aswell as it does share some more info on Berseria and changed the plot slightly.

I Couldn't get into Witcher 3... I do not know why.. I played a first couple of hours and it was just...not captivating.. Does anyone know if this changes? I hear about 6 hours in the story kinda kicks off. How is it with boost mode in the new 4.5 update?

Yakuza Zero, haven't played it... or heard of it lol.

Recently traded in my PES2017 for something else which i can't remember what, i bought PES just for the change of pace as i was getting bit fed up of Fifa near enough 0 gameplay changes and i have to say PES is slowly making a comeback now. The gameplay is a lot nicer than before and had ton of fun.

Also playing it and agree it does seem better than some of the other games. I really was not a fan of the Xillia's or Abyss to be honest, I like that whole revenge thing Velvet has going for her.

The dungeons unlock as you go on and you usually have to backtrack and usually when you do the story forces you(from the ship).

Did anyone try Nier: Automata yet?

All of the characters have backstory and a purpose for what they are doing which is why i think the game hooks you in a lot better than previous titles. Xillia was fun game in my opinion and what i like is all the secret bosses show up on the map aswell, the combat mechanics is changed from previous titles which makes it slightly different too.

Yup that also, it really does explain backstory well like with eizen who I never really thought much about in zestiria because he was . . . . . well you know but I have not beaten it yet and I do not know if the sister will pop up but that would be nice or how he became how he is in zestiria for example.

I liked the battle system in Xillia, it was the story I did not really care for but thats more personal preference really, the actual gameplay was pretty solid.

Still probably cheaper to get it pre-owned from local stores really,Doom is £12 in the UK PSN store which is tempting but i think i'm wait a bit longer for it.
I am now 3-4 main mission away from beating Nioh but still have long way to go before getting a platinum trophy for the game..unlocked 40% now i believe.

Sony has a 10 year plan for all consoles ^. This year would mark that 10 year point.

I am level 25ish or so in Horizon Zero Dawn, still having a lot of fun with it. Completely my type of game; beautiful, lots of fighting/exploring/looting, lots of quests to do. Not really any RPG type system to worry about (there is a skill tree and crafting but very simple) - also no survival element having to worry about eating/drinking etc.
