love me some very customizable sigs ... seeing everyone with the same looking one and just different info inside gets old after awhile

looks like the site is getting the up-to-date stats by contacting the same server the game does when pulling stats down, i'll take a look in the game files for the address.

looks like the game talks to 159.153.235.12:18390 and 159.153.235.12:18395 - one of those must be providing it with stats, but it needs a request sending for stats for a specific person and then something to decode the information it gets back (i don't have the request package to send, so i can't test beyond here for now). If you go there in a browser you just get a 7 byte package back, presumably asking for credentials or for a request to be made.

http://www.bfbcs.com/ are adding an API for sites to be able to do stats for their members - they havn't said where they get the stats from (well, nowhere which i can find/read, my german's very rusty) and their forum is in german so i can't read half of it, but it should be live soon.

best solution i can see is wait for EA to get http://badcompany2.ea.com/stats up and running, since i can't find any record of a stats api or info on how people are accessing the stats at the moment.

I would love to use a TPU hosted BC2 Stats banner, who wouldn't?! Hopefully W1z can get it sorted, till' then I've had a good experience with the one I posted in the OP on my clan site, it updates every 24H, but better than a static screenshot of the stats.

Keep us posted W1z! I know you'll get it sorted, no doubts there, and with the creativity this forum has and the artists it features, we'll have some kickass stat banners for sure!

I know it isn't ideal but the http://bfbcs.com/pc website is now up and you can get the stats from there. It takes a few mins to get updates/find your character in the first place (you can manually request an update to the stats whenever you want) but there are a ton of stats available.

I guess you could rip the stat information from that site until we can figure out where to get the stats from ourselves.

an example of the information available is http://bfbcs.com/stats_pc/%5BTPU%5Dhuman_error (my awful stats) if you want to see what's available
