ok let me ask, the graphics card i picked, would 2, 1gb graphics cards in crossfire help or be stupid, also what if they were 128bit.. its cheaper
but what if i used the 256bit but bought 2 and used in cross fire would that do anything... cause i kinda wanted to have more than 3 monitors but im not going to buy 2 of the graphics cards at 400bucks thats looney right?

You are asking the wrong guys my firend. All of our answers will be MOUR POWA! But currently you only need one 5850. Its enough for just about everything on the market and then some. If you want to upgrade later then you can. Also I'm not sure what you are talking about with the 128/256 bit versions of the 5850. There is only one version.

hey guys ill say this, im sure yall are saying it seems like alot of cash to spend, but i remember back in 99' when my parents bought a comp and they went and got a loan and spent over 3k on a comp that is junk now and was after a year. so spending 1500 on something i know will last 5 years is this the right way to think?

Your build is good man. Don't second guess it. But lets make sure you get your money's worth ;) Also IMO you have a cheap build going. Anything less would be a waste of time.

Whats up with the info on using less energy... is that something i want to do?
I mean when it comes to less wattage cpu and stuff... also is it not good to buy a PSU that is larger than you need?

Your build is perfect except for.

A - Having 2gb 5850 is pointless IMO. They were released with 1GB for a reason.
B - To your quote, every one will say to you that buying a psu with 200-250W more that you need is reasonable. Its called futureproofing.
C - Agree with ION. HAF 932 is probably one of the best cases for the money out there right now.
D - If you will play games, get a Phenom II x4. If you edit videos, get a x6. you wont notice much of an iprovement right now (though in a year or so it probably will have an advantage).
E - Get the H50 just for the fact that you can presume your friends that your pc is watercooled :p
F - welcome to tpu. :toast:

I would say get the 2gig version if you plan on using Eyeinfinity. If not then get the 1 gig version and save some money. As for the mobo I would get a 890 like I said. If you get a 790 you are buying "old" tech in a week.

Ok why cant i find the 890 on newegg?

the only reason i am thinking about the 2gb vid card is that its like 20 bucks or so more than the 1gb

HAF 932 is the large version.
HAF 922 is the "small" version.

IMO the 922 is the better buy. It has PLENTY of room and is "better" built.

here's the bad news for me... the guy has yet to talk to me since the bid ended and he recieved my payment through paypal last 11 days ago.... after numerous emails and even calling his cell... I have opened a case on paypal to get my $650 back......

When I do get it back I want to get parts together and build something myself... I have already purchased the win7 OEM and a Seagate 1tb 32mb cache hd...
I believe I will take many of the recomendations that are given for the $800 build using the AMD...
But would love to get some other up grades in the way of used comp parts.. thus my question of where you all go if your looking for good used parts?
:mad:that was the post in another forum....

then last night

Get this $hit the guy from ebay calls me up tonight and tweeks out that his account doesnt have the money in it... i told him LOL.... You never sent the comp. he then tells me about his GF having surgrey and hes been busy but i should have never stopped the cash... i told him dude you never emailed called texted or AIM me *** LOL..... he then goes off telling me he needed that cash real bad... i said i really needed that comp bad so bad i wanted one tomorrow and guess what i went and ordered me something else.... your SOL.... take it up with paypal... he tweeks even more and talks a million miles a min and i said again take it up with paypal i dont want something from someone that cant even use a cell phone and when i do get a hold of you, you hang up... you had 14 days and now on the 12th hr you want to throw a hail mary FU lol:nutkick:

yeah im glad i did more research and found this place cause i want a comp that will grow with me... btw the ebay auction ended april 11th last night was his first time to contact me since then April 25... thats after hounding him...

Now im going to spend more money and get what i want. .:rockout:

i want to say its the worst ebay transaction ever its kinda soured me on buying high price stuff on there.....
