These prices are not in USD obviously but you get the idea. I really need some help here. I currently have in my possession the 3800X which I picked up for less than the 3700X however I think to myself am I f'ing crazy for not buying a 10400F + Z490 Mobo together they would cost just $10 more than I paid for the 3800X. In games the 10400F usually beats the 3700X in bechmarks so I would assume the 3800X as well. This is for a gaming rig. Then I think well 5600X is better $30 more but the cooler isn't nearly as fun as the 3800X however the gaming performance certainly wins especially in cpu-limited situations. The 10600K would put me at around $400 since I would need a cooler, I'm really not super in love with the Z490 motherboard but for a 10400F I would stomach it to make use of the 3200Mhz ram. Kinda beating myself up over this at this point since the 10400F just screams value, the 5600X clearly has added performance at only $30 more than what I paid (but lame cooler). The 3800X sorta loses to both in games unless a lot of cores are needed or it's very much a gpu limited game. Will the cores benefit me over the 5600X in the future I dunno. I'm typically a value based consumer for like everything and the 10400F screams value but man..... I dunno.

I play multiplayer FPS games most like Warzone and Battlefield those types of games I don't do any work or rendering. Give me your 2cents people cause I feel pretty twisted.

Unless you have a 2080/Ti/3070/80/6800/xt etc then there will in all likely hood be few differences between them as with a 2060 in most scenarios you're going to GPU limited and not CPU limited, that doesn't mean there won't be a difference between them though not the same kind of difference you would see with a higher end GPU, take your pick really. The 10400f is a good proposition at it's price and will likely be as good as and there abouts as most of the other choices with the excpetion of maybe only the 10600k and 5600x both of which are quite a fair bit higher in cost..
