Hey people. I come to your forum after checking out a few others. The other 4 I went to , they treated me like I was an idiot, because I do not know much on hardware and such.

Basically, I come to you asking if someone would be willing to suggest a build for me? Or perhaps a pre-built. I am HOPING that I can find (this is where I was insulted before) hardware that'd be no higher than $450..maybe $500. I know it is not much, at all:eek:. But I haven't the extra money to spend. I'd like to play games such as Call of Duty 5 and Oblivion.

If nobody can help, I'd understand. I know it can get frustrating dealing with those who lack that knowledge.

Thank you.

Oh, and I do have the following to add, if I build myself:

160 gb hdd , and an extra 40 gb for whatever

19" hd monitor (with that dvi connection in back)

Dvd +/- R/W/RAM with labelflash

keyboard/mouse/sound system

Thanks so much for taking the time=) And thank you for welcoming me. I'll def consider your choices!

I'll just throw in a case, then I'll be all set. Just hope these items are not out of stock , I've got another 2 weeks before I can actually order. Gr.

p.s. Could you advise on this pc? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227130

Hell just do what i call "Franken puter" lol..
Take that case money and put it to better hardware..
then down the line buy a case.
You can run a pc perfectly fine with no case..
just keep it off the desk..
on anything really..
even wooden pegs..lol..
or the box it comes in.

the graphics card in that is kinda poopie..
the motherboard is also out dated.
I think you could do better..
Have you looked at our buy/sell/trade/ forum topic?
you have to be here for a little bit..
but great deals on some very nice gear..

but good luck and welcome to the forums. :)

Run a pc, without a case? I'm not exactly brilliant when it comes to this stuff, but even I know it's not such a good idea. Aren't cases designed to keep everything cool? Such as heat distribution and such.
I can get a decent case from newegg pretty cheap, doesn't seem like such a good idea, to skimp like that.

air is designed to keep things cool :p
cases keep in heat..
as long as you have fans on it.. np..

of course you don't want it near anywhere you can spill on it though.
it's an option..
not something you have to do..lol..
you said you had 500ish bucks..
trying to give you options :)

Oh no lol Don't get the wrong idea. I appreciate it. But... I'd rather not risk destroying it. =P Which is something that not only could happen, but would. My luck isn't exactly good.

Being limited really sucks. =( I was looking at pre-built pcs, but most of em are a bit iffy.

Take this one, for example..:http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicat...?EdpNo=4396173&csid=ITD&body=MAIN#detailspecs

Also, keep in heat? I was under the impression they kept the heat circulating correctly. Whereas having even one side of the case off, wasn't good.
