Alright, I bricked my Gigabyte windforce R9 290 by flashing faulty bios on to it, even better, i managed to brick the second bios (I am very smart).
Also while switching the switch to use another bios i managed to brake the switch and it came out ...

PC doesn't POST with R9 290 in it (classic black screen), only posts and works fine when I use Intel's iGPU (which i cant game on).
And right now i cant flash the normal BIOS on because system wont even recognize the card because there is no bios, I also get "adapter not found" when trying to get info or flash the bios in the DOS using AtiFlash.
I've found the "short 1+8 pin on the bios chip" method but it wont work
, also tried shorting 4th and 5th pin
(1st YT comment) but that also doesnt work.
My best guess is that i didnt make good contacts on the pins or the BIOS switch on the card is fucked and doesnt make good contact as well (I managed to put it in somehow, but it doesnt feel right).

Here are all the pics, might help.

If flashing a good BIOS doesn't fix it(or, rather, if you can't get it to flash at all), then you'll probably need to replace the switch. Which shouldn't be too difficult. Soldering iron, solder, DIP switch(plus maybe a few wires if you can't get the right size SMD).

Pretty sure(not 100%, I'll double check) you'll need a SPDT(Single Pole Double Throw). Probably go with a 5VDC-6VDC rated switch(or higher). That might be overkill(the datasheet says the operating range is 2.3VDC to 3.6VDC 30mA max). But better safe than sorry.

Yeah it looks like it'll be SPDT. Here's what the dual BIOS switch looks like on my 280X.
SPDT Dual BIOS DIP Switch.PNG

Notice the 3 terminals denoting a SPDT.

I might just eventually set up a bios rescue shop where I can just do the encoding myself all in all I have is software-based only. And I only know what kind of questions asked in regard to all these cards as long as the original poster is willing to comply with all the questions I asked.

Tell you right now I'd love to learn how to interpret machine code and then maybe study basic and Fortran then maybe C sharp and ++.

I'd have to really brush up on my hexadecimal reading because obviously binary is easier

Please take pictures of all white stickers on the card, they are typically on the back. If you have the original box please take a picture of the barcode label on it.

Get GPU-Z from here, boot up with your card installed, monitor plugged into the IGP and lets see what info comes up from there, post gpu-z screen shots please.

Once you do all of that we will proceed

Here are the pics: Little backstory: 1 year ago following the guide and I flashed R9 390x bios with modded timings on my R9 290 and got a nice perf boost, everything worked. Only yesterday that i decided to flash back the original/vanilla R9 290 bios back and managed to brick the card. IIRC i didnt rename the bios to .rom but instead left it to .F5 extension (notice i wasnt using backed up bios, rather i found the .F5 bios on Gigabyte's website). And also this time i didnt flash through DOS, but with WinFlash. Actually the app AtiWinFlash with the GUI didnt let me flash because of non matching SSID (or something), so i ran a CMD in the directory and flashed using AtiFlash while in Windows. Only After i restarted the PC it wont boot anymore :( . Edit: Card has Elpida memory

Also buying a new GPU right now (and pairing it with i5 4590) is not smart for me cuz i rly dont want to spend money, and i am in 2nd half of my final High School year (6 more months till i get a job or go to college)

In all likelihood, by the looks of it, your card has Hynix VRAM. And you flashed a BIOS that only supports Elpida VRAM. I don't know for sure that the shorting pins method even works on dual BIOS cards. It may be that it doesn't. So I'm not sure that you'll be able to fix it without the methods and tools I linked to above. Which will cost you a few bucks.

You don't happen to be in NW Oregon or SW Washington do you? If you are I can probably come to you and fix it for free(since I own the tools mentioned previously). You could also ship it to me and I'd do the same. Up to and including repairing or replacing the switch. I've got a couple I could pull off a dead motherboard that will work. Won't be pretty(not a direct fit), but will be functional.
