PNY Technologies, the supplier and marketer of NVIDIA Quadro by PNY professional graphics boards announced today the immediate availability of next generation NVIDIA Quadro by PNY solutions based on new NVIDIA Quadro FX 4600 and FX 5600 graphics, and NVIDIA GSync genlock/frame lock and HD SDI options. These new ultra high-end professional graphics solutions meet the challenges of the most complex 3D design, DCC, visualization, scientific, and broadcast applications with a new unified architecture, Shader Model 4.0 technology, large frame buffers, and GPU computing for visualization technology. The new NVIDIA Quadro by PNY solutions include:

  • NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 by PNY Technologies – Features an industry-first 1.5GB frame buffer with memory bandwidth of up to 76.8GB/sec for interactive visualization and processing of large textures and frames. This solution also offers full WindowsÒ Vista compatibility, compute programmability, and support for advanced 32- or 64-bit workstation architectures.
  • NVIDIA Quadro FX 4600 by PNY Technologies – Offers ultra high-end performance, compatibility with all Windows Vista features, a large 768MB frame buffer with memory bandwidth of up to 57.6GB/sec., and 32- or 64-bit driver support enabling the visualization of the largest 64-bit datasets.
The new NVIDIA Unified Architecture dynamically allocates compute, geometry, shading and pixel processing power for optimized GPU performance in any application. Full Shader Model 4.0 and DirectX 10 capability support the new Microsoft Windows Vista user interface, future-proofing these solutions for next-generation applications by incorporating advanced Vista capabilities. Full industry-standard OpenGL 2.1 support for Windows or Linux assures forward and backward compatibility with the largest possible library of professional graphics solutions available.

GPU computing for visualization incorporates NVIDIA CUDA (Compute Unified Device Architecture) technology, which allows developers to fully access advanced compute capabilities on the CPU using the C programming language.

Other standout features include NVIDIA SLI technology for improved graphics performance; dual dual-link display connectivity; and NVIDIA PureVideo HD technology for outstanding picture clarity, smooth video playback, and accurate color and precise image scaling for SD and HD content.

“Advanced visualization applications such as automotive design or oil and gas exploration continue to push the limits of workstation graphics,” said Carl Flygare, Quadro product marketing manager at PNY Technologies. “The new NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 and Quadro FX 4600 by PNY deliver the advanced features, accessible programmability, and record shattering performance customers both need and expect of NVIDIA solutions.”

“Our latest NVIDIA Quadro unified architecture delivers the greatest generational leap in company history,” said Jeff Brown, general manager, Professional Solutions Group, NVIDIA. “By incorporating new features such as Shader Model 4.0, the ability to do compute functions on the GPU, and extremely large frame buffers, the NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 and Quadro FX 4600 by PNY offer the best solutions for advanced visualization across a variety of disciplines.”

The NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 by PNY and the NVIDIA Quadro FX 4600 by PNY professional graphics boards will be available to system integrators, value-added resellers, and distributors throughout North and South America. PNY Technologies, Inc is the exclusive NVIDIA Quadro partner for the Americas and Europe. All products in the NVIDIA Quadro by PNY series come with a three-year warranty (one year standard plus two additional years upon completion of a registration form on PNY Technologies’ web site).

And if you are living in Asia (not Japan though) you should check out the corresponding Leadtek Quadro FX 4600/5600 cards.

... I am quite sure you will get Leadtek models all over the world - anyway here are the real (old: look here - thank you D_o_S) news ...

Taipei, Taiwan, March 5th, 2007--Leadtek Research Inc., the exclusive workstation partner of NVIDIA in Asia except in Japan, today announced the latest edition in the NVIDIA Quadro series — FX 5600 and FX 4600. A revolution in visual computing, NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600/4600 workstation graphics cards by Leadtek deliver optimized application performance. Combining NVIDIA CUDA™ thread computing technology with the industry's most advanced feature set, including 1.5GB largest frame buffers and ground-breaking NVIDIA G80GL unified architecture, Quadro FX 5600/4600 ultra-high-end solution solves the most complex problems. With fully supporting for Microsoft DirectX 10.0 and Shader Model 4.0 standard, Quadro FX 5600/4600 enable next generation applications with unprecedented image quality.

Quadro FX 5600

Quadro FX 4600

NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600, boast the industry's first 1.5GB GDDR3 frame buffer and a massive memory bandwidth of up to 76GB/sec while NVIDIA Quadro FX4600 has a 768MB GDDR3 frame buffer and ultra fast memory bandwidth. Both products have digital display connectorssupporting ultra-high-resolution panels (up to 2560 x 1600 @ 60Hz on each panel) --which result in amazing image quality producing detailed photorealistic images. They also offer next-generation vertex and pixel programmability with shader model 4.0 enabling a higher level of performance and ultra-realistic effects for OpenGL and next generation DirectX 10.0 industry-leading professional applications.

This is the first testing result of actual professional application with Quadro ultra-high-end graphics series. SPECviewperf 9 numbers clearly speak for themselves: FX 5600/4600, it is apparent, deliver more realistic effects than previous editions. We can say confidently that NVIDIA Quadro FX series by Leadtek is a ‘must have' for any serious professional DCC, CAD, Visualization application users. All of these are tested on 3 GHz Dual Core Duo Xeon®, Driver Release 97.00 and SPECviewperf 9.
