Hi All,

I have Graphique card (R-VGA150961-2) GF9600GT 1024 MB DDR3 PCIe DVI/HDMI and i have a problem with, when i plug it to my motherboard "Dell OptiPlex 745" the fan accelerate, and the screen show's nothing but black, the monitor didn't receive any signal.

It's an issue from my PSU or my motherboard just didn't support it?
May be i need some other's Cables?

Are you powering the 6-pin plug at the right of the card in your image?

Also is the cable from the monitor connected to the back of the card?

I don't if it is the way I am interpreting it or what...
But, to me it seems you are plugging it in when the board is powered?!?
Is this the case?

EDIT: Like sneekypeet stated... you need to connect the six (6) pin from the psu to the back of the card... if that is a picture of the card in your first post.

You will have to plug that in, it provides power to the card. If your computer doesn't come with a PCI-E connector you will need something like this:

A Molex to PCIe converter

anyway, this card -from personal xp-rience- boots fine without those plugs, it just warns you that it is running in low power mode :)

- Did you uninstall well the previous card's drivers? (Especially if it was one of those pesky Ati cards... :)

- Are you sure the 9600 works well? Cooling was not great in those days and cards would just DIE.

- ETC. check stuff.

Your computer doesn't have a PCI express power connector on the power supply, which is required for the card. You need what was pictured on post #5 but it needs to be a single molex connector instead of dual connectors, as the PSU only comes with 4 SATA power connectors, one molex and one floppy.

I have a GTS 450 shoehorned into a Dell Dimension E520 and it works fine with the stock 305w power supply and this exact adapter:
