What is the "notable members" list all about? I cant see any logic behind that list.

As a qubit, I look both ways at once so have no idea whether I'm coming or going. That's notable! :p

I'm pretty sure that list is in reverse order: meaning that the first spot is the latest person to reach the 163 pts, and as someone else hits it, they'll drop down and the new member will be on top. Thats what I last came up when observing it a little while back.

We don't need no stinking points, but I think it is cool! It is something unique to TPU (at least from the other tech sites I haunt). I'm just glad warnings don't take away points! :D  :fear:

Stars are purely post count related and not anything to do with length of time your a member, that certainly was the way it worked, roughly at an average post count of 5 a day you should get a custom title (5000 posts) in about 3 years although I have seen some get there in less than 6 months!

Or 7 years, which is what it was for me last year when I got to 5,000. (way on the extreme end for low posting, based on first 4 years).

Did you read Wiz's post #23 or look at your own Trophies Awarded tally? If you had you would see we get 40 points as a "TPU OldSchooler" when we go over 3 years.

But points are not stars, I was talking stars as Capslock's post above my post thought time & stars were related, hence I specifically mentioned stars.

Okay, but more points lead to more stars. And I note you said, "Stars are purely post count related..." yet Wiz showed where stars are not "purely" post count related. That's where I was coming from.

Clear as mud.

Hey, I'm a notable member by points  and more so, my 163 points are worth more than @Fluffmeister's 163 points ... makes me wonder what's the second sorting criteria beside points, @W1zzard?

What W1z showed you was trophy points so the "Old timers" entry gave additional trophy points, they have nothing to do with stars which are postcount related only, nothing to do with membership time etc.
