such an easy mistake to make. That's why I always write HSF's.

I wonder if a heatpipe makes any noise...even if it is undetectable by the human ear...

Im pretty sure anything makes noise.
Slight vibration of molecules perhaps?
But when we say noise we generally mean audible stuff, static comes to mind as its "electromagnetic noise"

Heh. The stock Intel HSF for 775 is rated one of the quietest. I've got one running right now and it is very quiet.

Yeah I realize what we are talking about. I was thinking about heatpipes because there is quite a bit of movement inside of them which creates vibration which means...noise! A regular old heatsink does not move on its own so I doubt it would make any noise on its own. Of course...heat transfer makes it expand and contract...so maybe. Oh well, we certainly can't hear it.

Just have to hope AMD can make it. They are having some problems. Even intel fanboys should hope for AMDs continued existence. Intel would have very little incentive to improve their processors very much or to keep prices low without AMD.

I have used both AMD and Intel in the past. But, if I could chose one, it is AMD.
