Hey guys,
I got into the mining craze a few weeks ago so I put together some PC with some components I had lying around. This is the specs of the PC I'm having issues with (I know it is overkill for the cpu side of things but using this is cheaper than buying a new i3 system/equivalent);
mobo: asus P6t x58
cpu: i7-930
cpu cooler; zalman 8700
memory: Corsair 3X1GB TR3X3G1333C9 1333mhz 9-9-9-24
hdd: 1tb WD green

Problem area:
GPUs: 1X Gigabyte 7950 Windforce X3 Rev1.0
1X Gigabyte 7850 Windforce 1GB OC
PSU: Zalman ZM-750HP
link to psu website; http://www.zalman.co.kr/global/product/Product_Read.php?Idx=625
also I found this and it might help you to help me, not sure; http://forum-en.msi.com/faq/article/printer/power-requirements-for-graphics-cards

So the issue I'm having is that once I begin mining on the 7950 it is fine. Then if I switch the mining to just the 7850 it is also fine. HOWEVER if I have the 7850 & 7950 mining at the same time, my system freezes for a few seconds and instantly turns off and restarts. I'm thinking it is just running out of power to power the system but I would have thought 750W would be plenty for this setup. Temperatures are fine btw (7850 <60C & 7950 <78C). Also using the PSU calculator I get 542W as a recommended figure. :/

Am I right in thinking I need a bigger PSU? I do plan on having 3 GPUs in there (probably adding a 280x/7970 or another 7950/280).

nevermind, I changed around a few of the PSU cables and now have the one with the 2X 4pin adapter to 6-pin cable going to the 7850 and the 2X 6pin cables going to the 7950. It runs fine now, I must have been overloading a 12V rail.
