The damage is progressive and chronic, you won't notice it until you're to old! lol

Just about to cross 30 and like i said it has ALWAYS been loud! :rockout:

just make sure you break them in at volumes that arent distorting

have you had your hearing tested? i assure you that your hearing will be degrading...

I know how to break in a set of driver's, hell i've even fried a few! :D To answer your question YES i have had my hearing tested and it show's NO sign's of degradation at this point in time. Last hearing test was done about 1 1/2yrs ago and like i said i can hear a mouse fart ;) :toast:

It'll never be too loud. In fact probably the older one gets the more you'd need to crank up the volume :p

It's just a saying we got around these part's, it seem's from my experience that as one age's the hearing become's more sensitive? Perhap's it is a "self preservation" thing amongst old timer's?

My moto is: Krank it 'till it Hz! :rockout::rockout::rockout:

So how was your score on the test done 5 years before that? By the time your eardrums are worn down enough to affect everyday hearing it will be too late, be it today or in five years.

I would definitely be more worried about hearing damage than speaker damage from high volumes.

Never tested my hearing 5yrs ago but i still hear just the same, i also go to the drag strip and never use hearing protection. Take's away from the experience IMHO
