Hi everyone,

I am going to start putting pieces together and I was wondering if I can restore one of my backups from "Acronis True Image". However, there is one little problem: the HDD has the same capacity and it has the same brand - Western Digital. But, the model on each drive are different.

So, my biggest question: can I really restore one of my early backup on my new SATAII Hard Drive?

Thanks! :toast:

Sorry about the titles... it should say: Acronis Application. I use that for backup...

Shouldn't be a problem, it will work OK.

As far as I know, you can even restore an image to a smaller/larger drive if you like.

Thanks for the head up! My money is well spent on Acronis!! :)

Now I can restore any Acronis's Image Archive backup into another HDD instead of wasting my time installing patches, application and getting hassle from Microsoft to re-register my Product Key.
