i would replace the paste with something like arctic's ceramique 2, or maybe some diamond based stuff (not up to date on those).
if that doesnt help/you hear pump noise, multiple options (besides the trash).
1. sell it.
2. replace the pump (replace the fluid as well, and you would need some connectors/hose to install it in the existing loop.
3. get an aftermarket cooler from someone like arctic (air/water), see if you can find an open box on amazon/microcenter.

posts like yours are the reason im tired of helping in forums, as users with less knowledge, might actually believe that crap.
you're either ignorant or dont know much about the hardware, stating something like this.
you wanna tell me that an AIO from EK/Alphacool (etc) is gonna die or develop ANY issues, before some 100-150$ "custom" loop from ANY of the large manufacturers
(that are not made by alphacool/aquacomputer/EK etc) ?
lol.
unless of course you can back that up with manufacturer numbers about return rates that will prove your assumption.
little example, even that its not about cpus:
almost everyone recommends a good air cooler (over something like an 120 aio),
yet the corsair H60i (updated one; 60$) im running for 2y now on an older gaming rig (3770k/1060) with one 9db fan,
can keep temps at the same level that i had "before", running a zalman resorator (v1) with 13mm tubing and a 12ft head/+200glm pump and a waterblock that cost more than the H60.
none of the parts would cover any other parts (getting damaged), same for any air cooler even when going in the 50-100$ range.
yet corsair offers replacement of ANY part in my rig that gets damaged/destroyed when the AIO fails.
yeah, aio's really make no sense...
