The powercolour cards are said to guarantee an r480 core (the same as in the x850xt pe). So theoretically they should be good overclockers but unlikely that u can mod them (see x800 gto2 to x850 mod post). So despite quite high clock speeeds possible you would still be restricted by the 8 pixel pipelines.

8 pipelines..spend a bit more and buy a x800xl

or spend less and buy an x700 which has 8 piplines 2

It will run top games. Tho not playable framerate at the top resolutions. You would prolly get away with somthing like 1024x768. I'd recommend u stretch just that little bit more and get a gto. its not moddable and prolly wont overclock amazingly but you get a whole 4 extra pipelines. :D Theres one here for £126 not including postage http://www.microdirect.co.uk/ProductInfo.aspx?ProductID=10572&GroupID=27
The powercolour version of the gt is the way to go if ure going gt. ;)

or u can spend less and get the x700 pro which has 8 piplines as well, its what i use and i can run almost every game close to max and my card isnt even overclocked...it ruins my three year warranty :D

the x800gt and gto arent agp i don't think. If you're looking agp then id say a 6600gt can't really be beat. As much as i love ati the 6600gt kicks ass at midrange. the better coding has done it good. I feel it is a more powerful alternative the the x700 for about the same price.

Thats foreign to us UKers. He looking at £ matey and i've looked at newegg. they don't do international else id be getting one of those luvly x800gto2 from there.
here in the uk we hav a magical convertion rate where a $150 card costs £150 over here.
AARRHGRHG!!!!
Maybe if i get one of you co-operative american types to buy me one and i pay you to ship it. tho wiv my OC'ed x800xl it not really worth it for the performance increase so will stick wiv til next gen cards come along.

In UK here some places i frequently use me self for buying gear

http://www.microdirect.co.uk
http://www.aria.co.uk
http://www.overclockers.co.uk
http://www.komplett.co.uk
http://www.ebuyer.com
http://www.eclipsecomputers.com

Dealt wiv all and quite happy wiv the service. my fave is microdirect despite their slightly dodgy aftersales. jus pray u don't have to send stuff back to them. they get it sorted tho, eventually!

Yeah they good on prices. perhaps try ebay also. Look in the ebay shops page too. U get retailers setting up shops on there. I got my x800xl from there for £155!! and the bloke lived like 10 miles up the road from me!!! I saved £8 on postage too!
