Hello,
So I'm in the process of ordering parts for a m-ATX build (those who've been following this, it got a little bit bigger) that I shall be doing for someone else. My original plans were to use a very solid XFX 550W power supply. That was until I saw a sale on a Corsair CS550M.
In terms of specs, it seems to have a lot of good points. 80+ Gold efficiency, very quiet performance, modular cables, small size, etc. However, upon looking at some reviews, it does prove all of those points above, but also it seems to have fairly mediocre ripple, and would definitely lose the build quality competition against a Seasonic OEM PSU. The question is, are those negatives going to detract too much from what seems like a high efficiency and quiet power supply?
Thoughts?
