I'll take that as there's not enough RGB for your personal approval, then?
As a graphic Designer I'd say the pattern looks dated and out of line with todays more stylish cards (EVGA and Asus). The gaudy red also limits options for colour coded builds. The logo design and font also has a naff appearance. Like it or not many people build PCs today with a view to making it look as appealing with colour coding and style. Sure some are done to a poor and tacky standard, but that says more about their own tastes than it does the products they choose. Does my build have RBG elements? Yes, does it look tacky? Hell no. In fact I'd be surprised if most didn't admire my PC modding skills.

It looks like it's actually designed to dissipate the 300+w of heat Vega puts out.

I don't like that they traded a DP for an HDMI though.

Benchmark Scores 3050 scores good 15-20% lower than average, despite ASUS's claims that it has uber cooling.

Same here, if I wanted to use that with my three screen setup I would have to use two displayport cables and a HDMI to DVI cable, eww.

Talk about taking a step backwards, they should have just bundled a DP>HDMI adaptor for anyone who wants to connect two televisions lol.

Why wouldn't you use an hdmi to dp cable?

Too bad there aren't any DisplayPort 1.4 MST hubs. :(

Why wouldn't you use an hdmi to dp cable?
Er, because unless something has changed and I missed it (which admittedly is a distinct possibility lol) they don't exist. You can connect a HDMI monitor to a GPU's DP outlet, but you can't connect a DP monitor to a GPU's HDMI outlet, not without running it through an active converter of some kind (unless somethings changed).

You are correct I was thinking it was a cable I had at work, but it is an active adapter like this one.

Ehhh I think ASUS looks like dated garbage. They still look like those ugly oversized giant kids toys they started selling back during the GTX 500 series.

To be clear though I don't think these Powercolor's look great either, and they are definitely oversized.

I honestly prefer the look of the current AMD reference cards, or the older GTX 700/900 series reference cards. Understated and pretty.

The asus looks cheap plastic boring design. But that said, everyone is entitled to his own opinion.
What looks great to me might look as good to others.

Absolutely. It's all opinion.

However I kinda do want to meet the guy who sees this and goes "Wow look at the flames! I love this!". Wait nvm I can already imagine the type of person lol
