Just like any reference Vega 64 I'd imagine. So far as I know, they're all the same, except for the brand stickers. Anyhow, I own a PowerColor Radeon RX Vega 64. But I haven't run it enough to give you any reliable info about it. I tested it for a couple hours just to see if it worked right after I got it(purchased used on ebay). It seems to want to run the HBM @ 1100MHz no problem(didn't try higher). And I got it to go over 1700MHz core a few times. That was with the reference blower cooler. I just got done putting a Morpheus II cooler on it. And I plan on installing again it in a few days(when my new 1440p monitor gets here), and running it daily.

I'll tell you one thing though. I'm not liking how much hassle it is to overclock the damn thing. Coming from never owning a card with "boost" to this thing is a shock to my system. I just want to crank the volts and power limit and see how high I can set the clocks without crashing. I mean, that's all I've had to do for the last 15+ years with every other card I've owned. The whole "boost" guessing game, combined with the counterintuitive voltage BS with this thing is less than a pleasing experience to deal with. I'll get it all figured out eventually. But what a fucking hassle! Why make it so over-complicated like that? What's the fucking point? Power efficiency? Fuck power efficiency! I'm trying to overclock this thing...JFC!!!

It's like any Vega, but 3 fans. I'm using it and happy. It's not the best and brightest (1080ti), but if you're looking for anything less than that, it's great especially with Freesync.

Yeah, I haven't bothered oc'ing yet.

It's a piece of shit comparatively, like all Vega cards. Overpriced, over TDP'd, over hyped and underperforming.

Hater.

Anyway...I didn't know we were talking about the Red Devil. If that's the case...I don't own one. So I don't know how it does. Because I, for one, know better than to believe everything I read/hear on the internet. ;)

Ah, I own the Red Devil. Didn't even know they had another. But I still have trouble oc'ing :p

Maybe on it's own, and definitely in comparison to 1080Ti. But not for anyone who wants or already has FreeSync.

The Vega 64 is $100 more than a 1080. The 1080 is 2% slower "out of the box". The 64's OC is practically non existent, the 1080 does 17%

98 x 1.17 = 115
100 x 1.00 = 100

So that's a 15% performance advantage to the 1080 for $100 less.... before getting to secondary considerations

The 1080 AIB draws 234 peak gaming (217 Furmark) with a max temp of 67C and 29 dbA
The 64 draws 349 peak gaming (362 Furmark) with a max temp of 85C and 45 dbA

I'm afarid the only thumb's up I can give to Vega is Suzanne

Freesync. Freesync :)

Otherwise, don't buy AMD. I'll be the first to say it. But if you do, it's about the whole display package. This idea of just weighing raw numbers doesn't apply as much as it used to.

Yet mine never pushes more than 240W on the “econo” BIOS and 275W on the “Hot” one and never gets over 75C on either and that’s using +15% power setting. Mines also the highest clocked one out there.

Mine is the Red Devil with three fans.
I'm not trying to compare it to 1080s or 1080Ti cards. I already have some of those.
I just wanted to get a feel for what to expect when it gets here. Sounds like it will be OK.
I'm not using Redsync or Greensync either. New screens are probably next though.
Thanks for the input.
I haven't used AMD GPUs in about a year.

Yeah that’s my reason too and I previously had a Fury so there was only one card to choose as an upgrade.
