had the x800 pro non vivo for about 6 months maybe more. Everytime i enable the ati over drive it puts white lines across the screen . I had the ati over drive turned on for about 5 months untill this happened, it sometimes shuts pc off . Is there a problem with these cards over heating. I used ati tool to turn the fan up to 100% but its noisey and turned it down again . i did a scan for atifacts with ati tool, and the temp went up to about 80 deg .So i quickly turned the fan to 100% to cool it down. surly it should not get that hot. please help

I had a Powercolor X800Pro which did reach those temps under load with the stock cooler. I purchased the Artci Cooler and flashed it to XT pipelines and speeds...and after that it only reached around 65degC max...:) 80degC is fine IF you don't get any probs...if you do...then its a prob...:)

ur card is a x800pro non vivo so you cant flash it to a x800xt pe.. first things are that your pipelines are laser cut and need to be hard moded.. you can find guides about hard moding your card. altho it can cost you if u damage the core etc. the hard mod is pretty much rejoining the laser cut pipes with manicure i can give u a link if u want.

this shud be enough for you to turn your card into a x800xt :)

That likely won't work, cause on those cards the pipes are usaly locked in the core aswell. :(

Btw, you can still flash to a 12 pipe xtpe. :) (moded for 2.0ns ram)

The first time I used overdrive it did the same thing without high temps. I stopped using it and now only use ATI tool with no problems.
