I'm kind of tired at all the cheap, low quality, noise-making, power plug space hogging, eye-sores that are the cheap chinese include AC adapters that come with a lot of products. My speakers, HDD dock, and desk lamp all have 12V AC adaptes, with 5A, 3A and 0.5A respectively. I've seen 12V Molex to 5.5x2.1mm Barrel plug adapters (which they all use), would it be safe to power them with my PC PSU and those adapters? Can I use barrel plug splitters?

I also have a Korean monitor, I think it's 24V 5A, anywhere I could look for a "higher quality" power supply for that? It does have a weird plug, I'd have to look up the name for that end again

Thanks!

I doubt you could get the monitor to run off of it, but the 12v stuff will probably be fine as long as your power supply can handle the wattage.

Yea I was hoping to just get a better PSU brick for the monitor (it does make some annoying noises recently when on white screens).

I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something that would make them incompatible or dangerous. Another cool concept would be a DC PSU, or a UPS style thing with multiple 12V outputs that can have the barrel plug end
