Not sure what you mean, it says they will ship April 12th, crazy prices and it's only the ones in dark red, add to cart, that you can pre order, which seems to be the 470's. Is it me or are these prices jacked up.

ill use it to heat my house and cook on, gonna order a 1500w psu along with it and run tessalation benchmarks all day to brag about on the forums and get admired.

You forgot the Physx benchmarks. but only single threaded ones, the multi threaded ones aren't pure and true.

instead of run tesselation benchmarks to brag on forums, use it to load the card and cook a couple of eggs on it. You will need one of those Lian-Li which are upside down so the eggs doesnt fall on the floor of the case :laugh:

What's even sadder is that they've hiked up the prices of the entire ATI 5xxx series. The Sapphire 5970 is now $40 more than I bought it last February! :shadedshu

Tbh I'm sad this happened, I've always used Nvidia cards myself and bought my first ATI one only after long pondering whether I should go for it or wait for Fermi.
Now I think I made the right choice...

I'm very sad that the 480 didn't live up to expectations (temperature, power-consumption, noise, heck even performance isn't that much over the 5870 to justify, and temperatures leave little headroom to OC).

Thanks to this retailers worldwide have put their prices higher than they were last February for all the 5xxx series :cry:

Not good for competition, not good for the consumer at all. :shadedshu

I hope Nvidia does some revisions and gets on its feet once again.

Yup, engine temperatures go to 80 or p'haps a max of 85 degrees C while running on load.
The GTX 480 goes to 96 degrees C @ gaming load.
