Premium board worth it?

Im using asus z390 prime a and did not pass linpack 2019 at 5.2ghz. Will the gigabyte aorus master help me to get stable 5.2ghz? More phase better vrm are good for oc?

You're at the chips limit. No difference on overclock between the boards.

and how much did ya play with the settings?
for example whats your loadline calibration at?

Oh please... An i9 9900KS is already pushed to the limits by Intel. Keeping it at stock 5 GHz will prolong its lifespan significantly, unless you have a fetish to burn money on new high-end hardware every year, two or three.

1.42v@80c (higher temp will require lower voltage/current to keep degradation in check) should be your limit, this has been well established to be perfectly safe for daily since the SKL days.

Manual OC has smaller margins on stability than intel can do with stock, hence we can push a bit further in clocks assuming the chip isn't a complete dud... 5.2GHz at under 1.4v is not uncommon.

CPUs are pretty tough.. you can beat on them.
