If it didn't cross-thread, and it doesn't leak, it's fine. Just keep an eye out for any signs or corrosion.

I'll order new barbs monday.

Hopefully it'll work out for a few days and not cause any future problems.

Thanks

I may be looking at this wrong, but I think that fitting is gonna take a ton of teflon tape to seal (and no washer). Second point is the length of the threads, careful you dont screw it in too far and restrict the flow. As Wile e says IF you can get it not to leak you should be fine.

It's actually being used on a DD res.. so there is really no worry about the fitting depth.

You will be ok.. Just try not to leave it in there to long... it will start to break down from the coolant on the inside of the fitting and get particles in your system or loop. If you are using distilled water that has no impurities in it, the water will actually try to get them from your fitting since its not brass or stainless. It takes awhile to do this but believe me it will do it. :)
