hello all. i just want to ask you guys some opinions about a new GPU for my pc...

I just sold my GTX570 and i was looking for a new replacement... after reading some good reviews about some cards i made some calculations about the price/performance of this cards... i post a photo about this cards and i hope you will understand what i mean... hopefully (if not, i will explain it :p)

The prices in RED is the card prices in EURO (in Spain), and after some calculation between the price & performance, i got to the conclusion that if i take the price of the GTX760 (in BLUE) the best card for the money it's the GTX660ti (218 vs 238 euro), if i take the price of the GTX660ti (in GREEN) the most expensive cards price would be just 268 euro and NOT 337... and finally if i take the price of the GTX680 (in BLACK) the winner is again the GTX660ti (218 vs 274 euro)

So am i right or not that the BEST card for the buck is the GTX660ti ???!!!

If you can find a 4gb 680 at a reduced price right now I'd grab that.

Price/performance means nothing if you select a card that will end up being too weak for what you use it for. The 660ti is cheap but for what you do, will it be enough?

How much are the GTX 770's compared to the 680's where you live?

Use pcpartpicker site, you can filter your GPUs of choice and it shows up yo date prices for easy comparison. Not sure if it works in Europe?

Everything maxed out? Erocker is right, 4GB 680 or a new 770. 760 is definitely not going to max everything.

You are using a 24" monitor, if its native, 1920x1080, the 660ti might cut it, but i'm not certain. Just buy the most expensive card you can afford imo.

This year the 660Ti still can do well, problem is next year gaming(with the ps4 and xb1 around). Another problem is for going with a 7970/680 you will not have the performance enough to justify the 100$ plus. times like the 2009 VGA pricewar with the 4890 launch had a better CxB situation.
Here in Brazil make sli with this card have a little heavy aditional cost(To get a x8/x8 MoBo), is best here to pick an overclocked-out-of-box 770 in a very basic B75/H61 MoBo and an i5 3330. Really, building cost/benefit gaming systems is taken serious here.

This year the 660Ti still can do well...with a 7970/680 you will not have the performance enough to justify the 100$ plus.

When I bought my 7970 it was only $40 more than the 660 Ti I'd tried and returned. Both were on sale, and both are non reference factory OC models. It's all relative to when, where and what you buy. I'm still pleased I went with the 7970 and find plenty justification in it.

nice 660

Well I went to get a opened box "everything there" Gigabyte geforce 660 ti.. 194.98 US and the darn thing had nothing..exceipt the card.... so I ended up paying 174.98 for perhaps the best factory overclocked 660 out there.. amazing deal on a new card.... runs great cool fast etc... I was surprised watching the review at the upgrades gigabyte added to the basic cards...

Prices are dropping fast. They will probably continue to drop, especially when AMD releases the 8000 series cards. Then you have to decide between mid range 8000 series/7 series or high end 7000/6 series.

In USD, the lowest I have seen 660ti is at $230, 7950 at $255 and 7970 at $300.

If I don't get my crossfire issues worked out with my 7850s, I'll probably sell them and buy a 7970 ghz edition.

Good deal!. The 660ti is not an overclocked 660, its actually an underclocked and locked down 670. ;)

not what i meant.. this actual version is an OC with some other hardware changes... nice fast and cool quite...

I started with looking at an 460, then a 540 then a 640... omg there are threetotally different archetecture "650"'s ... so I decided to pay the 169 for a 650 TI BOOST, totally different card than the 650ti.. and then I saw this listed as an open box.. funny as they miss listed it
I ended up going from the 650 to the 660 TI for only 30$ and tax..
I am amazed now at how pretty the stuff looks that I formerly did not notice... running a frame rate enhancing stepped down settings ... WOWO.. thanks for the help again..
now I need to find a home for the mobo and cpu/memchips and I can justify the GREAT pricing on an 4770...

I was so amazed that I was able to get this nice, new factory overclocked, plus Gigafolks added some nice tweeks in the construction of the card.... for the price..
hint
if you go online and put in your local store info, the micr center online tools will allow you to see whats in the store inventory, so I was searching online.... then went into the store.. and that is how it dropped anotehr twenty bucks as it was listed "all parts" and was only the card and the wrapper, caps etc.. no manual or cd.. big deal
