A friend of mine has the Samsung NC10 Netbook but it recently lost its WiFi capability. The Wireless had been switching itself on/off randomly for a couple of months, but now it refuses to work and the WiFi adapter isnt even visable in Windows Device Manager.
I picked up the Netbook today, wiped XP off and installed Win 7 Home Premium 32Bit. But still, the WiFi adapter is not visable. So, I popped to the local computer shop and picked up another WiFi PCI-E Minicard (AzureWare), but this wont even showup in the Device Manager
Could it be that the PCI-E slot on the Netbooks MoBo is dead? Or is it possible that the antenna is broken (this is located around the screen isnt it) and is causing the card to be inactive?
I dont know what else to try
