Hi guys,

Purchased TwinX1024-3200XL v1.2 (0527004-1) today and I was all ready for some high overclocking when I was disappointed to say the least by my brand new RAM.

System crashed (BSOD) and would not go over 240HT. At 245HT, timings were set at 2.5-3-3-7, voltage at 2.75V initially but relaxed to 3-4-4-8 @ 2.85V and memory still failed Memtest86 test #5 (wont even pass 1 run. always return TONS of errors at around 98% done 1st run). Tested each stick on its own and both return errors. Running with a divider helped but 3200XL with a divider?!

Desperately in need of help!

Memory is TCCD on PB, which should hit 260-280 no problems (from all reviews at least) CPU is Venice 3200+ tested at 270X10 @1.4V no problems..

Well it looks like you answered your own question the RAM and CPU should be up to the task but what about the mobo? I don't really know a lot about ASUS's nF4 solutions but the A8N-SLI Premium is supposed to OC a lot better than their previous nF4 boards.

There's not really much point in over-volting TCCD, at 2.5V and 2.5-4-4-8 you should be able to hit 275MHz (this is what Corsair's CMX512-4400C25, which is also TCCD, is rated for).
