I do gotta say using the Steam Controller gyros worked surprisingly well with the first game...curious to see how it works with 2.

I had to do a search after reading your comment and found this guy that wrote a config for the Steam Controller that seems to work nearly as well as a wheel. He even made a version that automatically disables the gyros when you go into the menu for easier surfing.

The more i play the more i am enjoying this game and just like Project cars 1 Bannochbrae is one of my fav tracks and i love it

I did not and do not go out my way to beat times inless its my own and due to a few things on time trial and around bannochbrae i have not only made a few new friends but also have the fastest time atm.

The new friends come down to an old time being beat but i love bannochbrae and the Formula x so keep pushing so atm this si how it stands

The new friends i made are in 2nd n 3rd now and 4th place is an old friend i have known years

I don't care if my time gets beat i'm just happy to make new friends and have fun as really am enjoying pcars 2.

Has there been updates yet to fix the controller to make it easier to drive if you don’t have a wheel I haven’t been keeping up with this game I want it to be playable with a controller before I buy it.

Well I'm back into PCARS 2 as I found a nice deal on the Thrustmaster T300RS GT-edition.

I have to say that it is MUCH easier racing with the new wheel compared to my old Fanatec GT2. Much lighter and more responsive imho.

AI seems noticeably improved with the patch, they don't seem to cut you off as much.

While it seems to work great... theres one problem! you will get TIRED of holding it.. even if it doesn't weight a thing.. if not, just put a video of some driving for 10-15 minutes.. and lift your arms and pretend you're driving!

I prefer my Logitech g920, that I got at a 50% rebate new in store! can't beat that at that price.

The way to do it I would think for longer events is to rest your forearms on your thighs. That would also act like stabilizers for the steering, provided you keep your legs still. Or those with decent padded task chair arms could just rest their forearms on the arms of the chair.

The latest patch on PC has been released and it's a big improvement in a subtle way. Formula A at Redbull Ring went from the car trying to kill me pre-patch to pretty well sorted now.

I honestly wish they had done another 3 months testing before release but I guess early bugs are pretty much par for the course nowadays. Sigh.

Anyways the game is a blast now IMO (* note I've not played online yet).

Of course a gamepad is a horrible idea for anything. Who the hell invented it and brainwashed everybody?
