Hi again, not sure this time where to start with to be honest.. so much has happened recently.
There has been a huge optimization been made to the Madness Engine by the developer Martin Griffiths in order to give a better performance and to kill some annoying bugs that have been haunting us for quite some time.
Physics have been improved as well in many of the cars currently available and it has been a blast to drive some of them.
Andy Tudor, the Creative Director behind Project CARS did an interview recently for NowGamer where he spoke about the Wii U version and from what I see around the web it has caused a huge ruckus, I advise everyone interested into giving it a read.
The first cut of the SDK/API for Project CARS has also been released, this will allow many developers to create amazing apps to interact with Project CARS.
There’s also a lot of hints around the web about Project CARS and Oculus Rift support, recently Andy Tudor posted an intriguing sentence at his Twitter in response to a news post @ VirtualR.
Two new cars coming soon to Project CARS, the 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X FQ-400 & the Ford Racing Mustang BOSS 302R1, both in a very early stage of development are going to be introduced within the project in order to test their physics, so there won’t be any pictures of it yet to be shown for now, further ahead when they are more complete in terms of visuals you will surely start seeing images/videos of them around the web.
To end this up and since there hasn’t been any images to show I leave you with a new trailer by our Community member Plm5.
You can also check the newest gallery @ the official website have fun!
Very nice, I will be basing my next computer build off of this games finale specs I update every Friday, its been great watching all the work that goes into the making.
This game looks insane, i would love to give in a run on my gtx titan sli setup, but i dont see anyway to be able to play the game. I know its still in production, but is any kind of playable version available?
There is but only for already existing members, currently the pre-alpha access is closed.
Hey there everyone, this will be the last update of March so here’s what happened recently in Project CARS.
The Project CARS - API (Application Programming Interface) was released, it allows the game to communicate with third party devices, giving programmers and hardware designers endless possibilities to make their product work with Project CARS.
The API feeds telemetry & other data to devices such as tachometers, motion simulators, buttkickers, shift lights and much more. Some members been working already in order to get this working with their smartphones and tablets and so far I must say some of their work has been quite impressive for such short time since the release of the API.
Last week I’ve mentioned the two new vehicles coming to Project CARS, the Mustang Boss 302R & the Evo X FQ-400 both in their very wip states were in no shape back then to be shown but now we can give you a glimpse of these two new addition (beware there is still a lot of work to be done)
As a Easter Egg the developers added a small contest where the community members had to find some hidden eggs around the track and the hunt has been quite exciting so far, but it didn’t quite achieve the happiness we had when we found a hidden track, based on the Old Spa Francorchamps that looks amazing so far even tho its still a early WIP.

There has been also some rumours about a mobile (Android, IOS) version, this is still not confirmed but if true it will mean Project Cars will add a new platform to the release.
To end up I will leave you all with an amazing new trailer by our community member Jonz, music by Project Cars Composer Dr. Stephen Baysted.
Hope you all have enjoyed, the pCARS community wishes you all a Happy Easter.
my version will not update past version 417 :-(
Uhmm i feel that the driving is similar to Gran Turismo and i didnt like it...
They need to give us something different because the graphics are already the best i ever seen for a racing game.
Are you a Junior member?
What makes you say that? Have you tried recently (less than a week) the physics on the RUF, SLS, Lotus 49 or even Formula A?
Ah, you have to wait until next friday thats when they will release the new build for Junior members +, sorry about that.
No i do not have tried anything about this game, just watching the video i see too much smoothness similar to Gran Turismo a little bit stiff is better for my opinion like F1 games.
The steering and feel are top notch (on a decent wheel) and very configurable. Configurable to a point that I feel the end user may indeed be the one ultimately responsible for that part. Or leave as is and just put in the time to get the feel, either way it is very realistic in MHO I have just about every race game made for PC so I compare to the rest.
The way the car moves through a camera hardly represents how the handling is Animalpak, a camera is fixed to a point and moves along with it so everything will look smooth or too static but thats how it was recorded in that trailer. Once the game comes out you will be able to see that by yourself
This drives like Shift3.
Calling it a sim and/or suggesting it has good FFB and steering is a nonsense from my pov.
What are you comparing a good sim with Good force feedback to just out of curiosity? like I am asking what is a good sim with Good force feedback then?
Wow Old Spa looks great.
I am a fan of the old tracks as there is so much in the way of scenery compared to seeing sheet fences every 100m, not that I wouldn't want them there in real life
The closest I can thin of the DiRT series.
Sure it has come a looooong way since DiRT but it is still intended to be an arcade/racing sim in terms of physics.
Good sims with good FFB.
Simbin 2005-2009[I don't rate Raceroom or whatever it's called a proper sim]
Dirt3 is total arcade.....if you disagree I can only assume you don't drive a real car
I said arcade/racing sim, so while i beleive it is arcade handling it still has elements of driving physics which is better than most.
I would say something like GTAIV, Saints Row 3, Sleeping Dogs is total arcade driving physics.
Funny how you from a video say its totally arcade, but the real drivers that play Project CARS say otherwise. We have Ben Collins, Nicolas Hamilton and now Rene Rast that joined last week.
Im not saying the game is perfect yet, but we are more on the sim road than simcade or arcade
Your employees viewpoints are worthless to me as no matter what I do, it always feels unfinished and simcadey.
I wish i was their employer but im not, Rene Rast tried the game @ Fanatec last week and loved it, asked the developers if he could join us and he did but hes a member like any other.
He sounds like another dummy who doesn't understand that just because you're a rl race driver, it doesn't mean you can automatically drive a sim.
I've never read any account from any race driver that convinces me they've made sense of sim racing.....obviously some have, but generally, race drivers support which ever sim/games dev pays them.
