Wii is best for children. its got a lot more resilient controllers, and most of the games for it are group/party games.
on PS3 it tends to be violent/adult games or childrends games, the wii ones blend between them. You can play most of them with children or adults, as they hasve quite simple controls - children dont do so well with a controller with 15 buttons.
