Hi guys,

I'm thinking about getting new SSDs, one for PC (to replace SN570 1tb in one slot, in second slot I will keep samsung 980 1tb for now), second for PS5.
I've stumbled on multiple discussions about dram vs dramless, how kingston replaces components without notice etc.

Which one you would recommend to take?
(is dram that important to disregard dramless drives, do we trust kingston, is samsung tax worth paying to "upgrade" from lexar,wd?)

Thanks in advance for any tips!

Below current situation on my local market (prices in USD, inc VAT).

WD SN7100 2TB125 USD
Lexar NM790 2TB125 USD
KC3000 2TB140 USD
WD SN850X 2TB150 USD
S 990 PRO 2TB160 USD

My subjective criteria:

With RAM, under the assumption it will reduce write amplification.

Brands - only from flash manufacturers. Crucial/Micron, Samsung, Hynix, WD/SanDisk.
If there's a reason to go with somenoe else, at least brands with a long history in the field and some expertise. So Kingston, maybe. ADATA, not so much (although they do have history). Lexar, no.

Specific models - random components or spec changes are a problem in more than one brand, so need to research each potential candidate.

i have a 4TB 990 Pro in my PS5 Pro and it's great. but in the end it doesn't matter. you can barely measure the difference in synthetic tests.
