i was lured in by the promise of a low cost reservoir from what i thought was a reputable company. that didn't turn out so well. i looked for reviews before trying one out and couldn't find any. after experiencing a few issues, i thought mine was a dud and tried RMAing. the replacement was worse than the original
this is specifically about models:
GP65-120 V2
GP65-170 V2
GP65-220 V2
GP65-270 V2
first off, the res can NOT be disassembled like others. so you can't install an alphacool bubble down or anything like that, you can't clean it from coolant stains, can't really do anything with it.
more importantly, it leaks. in the attached picture you'll notice a metal tube going through the center of the res. there are 1/4" threading on both ends of this tube and it comes with 2 acrylic stoppers already installed in those spots. originally i planned to use that as a pass through for a secondary water loop in my system. that didn't work out since liquid from the main chamber leaks into the metal tube even when fittings or stoppers are securely screwed into both ends of the tube.
build quality is crap. the plastic ends are glued on noticeably lop sided.
other complaints. it's also a little light on the accessories. this thing has 8 threaded ports but only 2 stoppers. so either plan on sticking 6 fittings on here or buy extra stoppers. mounting brackets are L shaped, it looks pretty dumb when mounted in a case. mounting clamps (the things that actually hold the res) are made from pretty fragile plastic that come lose pretty quick. one accidental yank and the res comes flying right out.
well, that's all i got for now.
