Hello, I need to choose a PSU for my new system:

AMD Athlon II X4 750k
Gigabyte R9 270x
Kingston 8GB 1600 Hyperblue
ASRock FM2A88X Extreme4+

On the official websites of the manufacturers claim that the video card needs 500w while the cpu needs 100w, but I think these are overestimated, am I correct?

So, will a 600-650 W PSU do the work?

Thank you!

dude 550W PSU would work fine and would still allow a 5Ghz OC on the CPU
Aslong as you don't run Prime95 and furmark simultaneously

They're all built by seasonic and all of them are excellent so just pick which ever is cheapest

No they are not. The Seasonic and XFX are based on the same platorm, the Corsair is CWT. Also, there is a difference between entirely made by Seasonic and when Seasonic is the OEM. In this case there is no difference, but you can't just look blindly at the OEM, because they build stuff per given specs. Sort of anyway, I bet there's more to it though.

But yeah all of them are good, I'd go with the Corsair because it's the cheapest and it's modular, if you put value in that.

You are correct, those are overestimations, because the manufacturers need to cover their asses in case you get a crappy PSU. A high quality 500W PSU will handle that setup with ease. Look at my system specs to see what you can do if you aren't paranoid and uninformed about actual power draw of actual components in actual everyday usage.
