Just built up a nice music-production machine for a friend basedaround an Antec P182, Asus P5Q motherboard (AMI BIOS), and an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 that runs at 2.5 GHz. RealTemp seems to think the CPU is running at 2003.7 MHz, is this normal? Should it be showing 2500-and-change MHz, or is it accruate reporting CPU speed and there's some kind of throttling going on? WCPUCLK reports it as 2508 MHz, as does Asus' own utility.

Also, I notice that the BIOS' hardware monitor displays CPU temp at around 33 C, once I get into Windows and fire up RealTemp, RealTemp is displaying about 5 degrees higher. Normal behaviour for the Q9300, or just the way Asus read the temp sensors?

Nice work, and thanks for your efforts, I'll be keeping an eye on RealTemp as it grows!

ya its called eist in bios, turn it off if u always want it to run at 2.5 Ghz. THis feature lowers the clock of the CPU to save power when CPU is idle .
