Any one still play this game? I haven't played it for years I finally found it and well after some research was able to install and play it on windows7 64bit! Looks great too. NOT full HD or any thing like that but SMOOTH and not one glitch. Amazing! My system just eats it up! :rockout:

I can not find any windows 7 patch's. But If you do try to install it on a windows7 machine you will have to open up disk 1 and right click on the setup file and run as administrator ( this is how I did it) and it will install if you get the compatibility window just make sure you always run Quake4 as admin. So far so good. Man been so long and I just loved that game. Now I can LOVE it all over again.

I played it some last year some. I actually still have the disc's on my desk ready to install. :toast:

It is sitting here with Unreal Tournament III and Black And White 2. LOL

This patch enabled HD for me full resolution! Looks Ultra sweet! Plays like a champ. Who would have thought? Any way this is the patch I used. http://quake4.filefront.com/file/Quake_4_v13_Full_Patch_Windows;67004

I just reinstalled this myself, and just threw 32xcsaa and 8xmsaa at it and maintain 60fps at 1920x1200... I remember my 9800gtx almost choked on it at 4x aa....
Edit: oops, I mean 8xSSAA.....

Yeah me too! Now I have the same settings and now my HD5870 it eats right through it. :respect:
