As Quantum Physics has increasingly become prevalent in common computing, it seems fitting to create a thread to discuss such. To start off, Philipp Dumitrescu, a Physicist working in the field of quantum computing, has made a very interesting discovery that has the potential to change the way we think about and apply quantum computing in a practical computer.

There is the Shor error correction scheme, but for me it is a mathematical contradiction as it assumes the protection bits are error free.

The fourth dimension is Time. You perceive it all the "time", pun intended.

In simple terms, it's like invoking a second flow state of time. Normal time continues along at the normal rate and this second state flows along at an altered, potentially slower rate, which allows the quantum state to last for a longer period as observed from a normal time-frame perspective.

Ahh vaporware storage is finally here, I mean that literally not figuratively. ABBA could sing forever.

Once the link to the higher dimension is long established, the next step could be something as simple as teleportation ala Star Trek, or complex as time travel. Asking for both would just be a matter of .... time.

We still are yet to see "non-secret Quantum computer" to reveal itself for the use. Till then, we cannot know much about them.

As we cannot know much about "quantum communication", which is also being developed on special institutes.
