Reply Bans don't result in points earned, and mods have a choice to notify the poster or not. In almost all cases where I've handed out reply-bans, I have notified the user...usually linking to or recommending reviewing the Forum Guidelines (link in sig...shameless plug
).
In many cases, if we delete/edit/merge posts, we can usually notify the posters there as well. Though sometimes it takes more effort due to the system's options and implementation. So I am sure there are quite a few times where many mods edit or merge posts and don't notify users. I still try to, again recommending reviewing the forum guidelines because if I have to spend my time managing posts...least I'm gonna do is let you know about it and what you should do to stop that from happening in the future. But even here, points are not given by merely editing or merging.
Points are given through infractions which can be based on user or user post in most cases, but that is a separate process from editing, merging, deleting or reply banning. So if we feel the need to go beyond the management of content or your posting privileges to infraction, you've earned it.
Now while I am all for communicating when we hand out infractions, edits, deletes, reply bands, merges, etc., keep in mind that IF you were behaving and following forum guidelines in the first place, there wouldn't be a need for requesting it.
That being said, I did take a quick look at your history OP, not seeing anything with my standard mod access that looks too recent as-far-as points or changes, but there are things I cannot see which may require a super mod. I have brought this thread up to the other mods in our lounge where we can review your request. Thank you.
