I'd really like to a keyboard with at least 1 USB passthrough port, but they seem to be dying out. The Blackwidow Elite ticks all my boxes, but Razer no longer makes it, and used prices are crazy. So I had an idea to take a cheap Blackwidow TE V2 Chroma (or even the newer V3 TKL) and mod it with a USB port. Problem is, I'm not even sure it can actually be done, how expensive it would be (like shipping it off to a keyboard mod service), etc., so I'm using this thread as a way to gather information (haven't been able to find much about it on google) and maybe even some help in the matter. Thoughts?

I did an Amazon search and a few came up.
usb pass through port keyboards

That Logitech G413 Backlit Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with USB Passthrough – Carbon is a good deal 33% off... I just ordered one for me, I need a new keyboard.

Just an opinion... It would probably be cheaper to get a keyboard that has what you want already. Unless you have someone to mod it for the cost of parts, plus there is shipping if it is not local.

Use as is, it has a USB port.

P.S.
Forget my suggestion, I misunderstood the concept of USB passthrough, my apologies.

I appreciate everyone who took the time to offer me suggestions/advice on finding a board for my needs. While I liked most of what the G413 offered, I just couldn't get around those keycaps and how prone to failure the clips on the bottom are. And after considering a few other boards I found (SteelSeries Apex 7 TKL, HyperX Alloy Elite 2, a couple from ROYAL KLUDGE) I ultimately couldn't pass up the deal I found via Amazon on the Razer Huntsman V2 Analog at $124. Board was apparently a refurb but looks like new condition and has been working great in the few days I've owned it. Haven't gotten around to playing with the analog feature yet, and I don't know if I ever will (more research required) but I am considering swapping out the analog keys for Razer purples that I harvested from a busted Huntsman Mini a while back :D
