I am getting an HTPC ready to hook up to my 32 inch HDTV. I want to be able to play my games on it using the internet I already have with my isp. My question is can desktops do wi-fi or do I have to buy a separate PCI card in order to be able to use it?
This is the motherboard - ASRock H77M LGA 1155 Intel H77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB...

That motherboard does not have wifi built in. There are many new boards now with wifi. If you were to get this board, you can get a pci card, or a usb dongle, as the person above said.

You will need a wireless nic/dongle (as others already suggested). The quality you will need also depends on the router you have, because the quality and the strength of the signal is important. Perhaps you gonna need a better antenna as well, and that would rule out dongles right at the beginning.

Gaming is best on wired connections, but if you want wireless, then I would say to go for a card over the dongle. While it's true that most newer chipsets are mostly can be only found in dongles, older chips are just as good and discrete cards are better if you are going to do heavy network stuff on the system (like torrenting, or hosting a coop game server like L4D2 or COD, etc), because USB has less resources to work with (less bandwidth if there are other devices on the same bus, and it also uses CPU!).
On the other hand, if you only need some "light" internet connection for games where ping and jitter is not that important, a good dongle will do just fine.

This HTPC is designed to play all the latest games at medium/high details. So, having the lowest ping and latency is important to me.
The PC is right underneath my PS3. I just want my PC to have that same capability as the PS3 does because with that, I don't have to plug any network cables into it at all. I was wondering if you guys could make some suggestions for what I should get. All I know is that Intel makes some NICs, are they good? What do you think?
Or should I just get another router for the HTPC downstairs? Sorry, I don't know much about wireless networking.

I'm not looking to spend more than $75 for something like this.

You really need a WiFi motherboard with the PCIe card already included?

Z77X-UD5H WB WiFi. Dave has a nice review on that board, take a look.

Everything is just about assembled, I can't afford another motherboard. The H77 I got was on sale for $70 which I couldn't pass up for the features it came with. All I need is some suggestions for which NIC, for PCI or PCIE, I should purchase. Thats all :)

$70 is more than enough, you can get a very decent and new dual-band adapter for that kind of money.
Just wondering: did you ever consider wireless bridge as a solution?
