Is there any form of audio acceleration these days?
I remember AMD's TrueAudio DSP, but it didn't become mainstream in PCs (unlike consoles).
Intel also has a similar DSP solution, but I don't think it's available for gaming usage.
And then we have this:
Does MS XAudio2_9 or Realtek audio drivers (the most common solution) use CPU SIMD acceleration at the very least?
The best I could find was this, but it's not part of Windows as a system library:
https://github.com/kcat/openal-soft/tree/master/alc/mixer (SSE1/2/3/4.1, not even AVX1)
