Hi everyone. I just purchased two old Core 2 Quad PCs from a friend and am planning on parting them out for sale. The processors both have Zalman CNPS9700 LED heatsinks on them. I have looked at the specifications of the heatsinks, and I notice that Newegg's site has LGA1155/1156 support listed (and presumably 1150 as well). I don't know when my friend built these systems originally, but I am skeptical of whether the heatsinks really support LGA1156/1155 since I'm assuming the heatsinks were purchased before the newer sockets existed.
Does anyone know if there have been multiple revisions of this heatsink model? If so, how could I tell if the ones I have support the newer socket? It would be nice to be able to advertise LGA1156/1155/1150 support, but I don't want to falsely advertise if I have old versions that only support LGA775.
I would appreciate the help. Thanks in advance!
