Question Bout kinston Hyper X

Well I bought some 2x1GB 1066 HyperX's of ebay and the seller had them listed as the #8500D2k2/2G these have D9GKX IC's. But I got them today and well they are
Model# 8500D2K2/2GR :mad:

Does anybody have these?
How high to they clock? What voltage?
Also does anybody have any idea what IC's these have?

Update: So far I hit 1152MHZ on these at 5-5-5-16 with 2.3V, not bad at all. Stable enough for benchies.

Carefully take off the heat spreaders if you can, the brand should be on the ic's. Have you checked the Kingston website/forums?

There is a website out there that lists the IC's that different manufactures use. Cant recall it at the moment. but I did find that you may get a mild overclock out of them at 2.3V:

If your pushing 2.3V then you will def want a fan to help cool them.

I will as soon as I get some new Heatspreaders. I found a few guide's I just dont want to end up like CDawall and yank an IC off

But it doesnt have my model listed just, #8500D2k2/2G .

I guess i'll find out later on today when I get to start OC my setup. Just waiting for my AC Xtreme to arrive. I'll update when I get results...

Probably NOT. Most likely the "r" is for revision, which in todays market means cheaper IC's to hit a price point, and the fact that D9 IC's are not all that common these days.
