what would you like to see more of in games? Things that you don't see enough of?

Local co-op support for 2-4 people in games that are more than just dual stick shooters (mainly on consoles).

I would like more of a realistic look to games . Some thing that can really bring you into the environment with out looking like you are in a cartoon . Know what I mean ?

I would like to see more in depth stories with longer levels. I am thinking of the original Deus Ex when I mention this.

I would like to see a return to single player campaigns. The modern era 5-6 hour campaign as an addon for the multiplayer component is pretty stale.

B) Less cinematics
III) ALL intro movies skippable
Four) LAN with bots (good bots) and co-op
S) Better physics - I want to be able to slide in mud and wet grass, move slower in sand, etc.
666) Procedural animations, along with better physics I would like weights to body parts for character balance and whatnot
777) Better level design

I would like to see the time when they put time into a game and its expansions instead of the DLC crap. Paying for stuff that should of been in the game to begin with.

On topic, I have to agree that the overall length of single player in most game is too short to warrant the pricing.

A few games that aren't designed with a console in mind at all, that will cripple our PCs, and not be due to piss poor coding/not optimizing the game correctly.

an open world zombie game that takes place in new york or something and plays like gta 4.......or a good gta 4 zombie mod where zombies run as fast as you do not walk

a dota/rts game that uses climate changes lol

More ingenious plots that make you realize how cool the game really is. Example: Mass Effect 1/2

Basically more creativity and depth to the games. Also super ultra mega graphics are a winrar because it's an excuse to upgrade

More depth of story line . Longer games seems they end too soon . games with more than one story line so you can be a good guy or bad guy . games with more than one ending .

I want more emotional RPGs like Dragon Age

We need more heartfelt character interactions like in Dragon Age Origins when you have to abandon your parents and leave them to die to join the Grey Wardens. We need more moments like the death of Aerith in Final Fantasy 7. I want a real deep seeded reason to kill the evil ones like the way Batman becomes Batman after the murder of his parents. I'm sick of mindless videogames like Left 4 Dead.

The death of MMOs would be welcome. They are not videogames. They are income for companies and nothing more. Cooperative play with actual stories would be nice to see more of regardless of genre.

Really really open ended games would be nice. Fallout 3 combined with a more realistic, IE Zombies (OK I know it is not realistic but still...) scenario, without missions bullshit, just surviving day to day, exploring, HUGE spaces, hundreds of houses, items, etc.

And I want mature games. And no, sex scenes and violence does not make a game mature. It's all in the storytelling and charachters.

More adventures, and I wish Funcom and Ragnar Tørnquist would write more of those. I still tell people that if they just plan on playing ONE game in their life, The Longest Journey would be my pick.

And no more zombies. Seriously, what is it with everyone and zombies? I hate them from all of my heart, not matter how they are portraied, be it feral ghouls or walking dead in Heroes 3, they are still boring.

A return of original ideas.

for example:

Mature storytelling such as seen in The Witcher and not seen in:
Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Oblivion, Call of Duty.

If you are going to go for immature story telling, at least do us all a favour and dont try to make out like it is serious. Goofy stroy telling can also be quite good so long as it aint pretending to be something that it isn't. Good examples were, BFC2, Risen, Crysis.
