question on how to remove some pins

I've been wondering what is the best way to remove the pins in these pics without ruining them? I don't want to ruin the anchor part on the bottom by using tweezers or pliers

While I'm at it, if anyone has one of these things; Is it supposed to have a lot of air coming out from the middle part of the body housing where the 2 pieces connect and also on the bottom where the intake area is at? It still blows a lot of air, but maybe it's supoosed to be more?

Thanks in advance !

Only way to remove those pins is to squeeze the tip on the back of the motherboard. If done gently, they can easily be removed and reused.

To fix the duster...

If you're careful you will not ruin them with tweezers.

well run some tape around the middle and see if it helps. As for if it is supposed to come out of there, I would imagine so if there isn't a washer or gasket sealing the midsection of the assembly. ;)

Just did it now and yep it blows!!!!!!!

I actually think that the air I was feeling from the bottom filter area was really from the middle because I feel nothing now!!

Thanks again:toast:

you can remove most of those pins from the bottom by pressing them together with your fingers. once you moved them a bit you can press on them with a flat object to move them through all the way.

if that doesnt work, tweezers with some tape in between to not scratch the pin
